Services

Five jobs, one flat monthly bill.

Pick the pieces you need. Most clients combine bookkeeping, payroll and their business return, and pay one number every month.

Line 1

Bookkeeping

from $300/mo

Books closed by the 10th of every month, so you always know what you made last month and what you owe.

Monthly

from $300/mo

Up to 2 accounts and about 100 transactions a month.

Monthly Plus

from $550/mo

Up to 5 accounts, payroll journal entries and job or class tracking.

Cleanup

from $750 a year

Per year of books brought current, quoted after we see them. Behind by two years? We catch up the oldest year first, then move you to monthly.

Every month includes

  • Every bank, card and loan account reconciled to the statement
  • Receipts matched and categorized the way your tax return needs them
  • A profit and loss and balance sheet, plus a short note on what changed
  • PA sales tax returns filed on schedule, if you collect sales tax
  • Books kept in QuickBooks Online, which you own and can always see

Line 2

Payroll

from $90/mo

Up to 5 employees. $8 a month for each one after that.

Your team gets paid on time, and every federal, state and local filing goes out without you thinking about it.

Pennsylvania payroll has more layers than most states. Besides federal withholding, you are filing state income tax withholding, unemployment compensation, local earned income tax and the Local Services Tax, often with different collectors depending on where each employee lives and works. We run payroll, file all of it and keep the year-end W-2s and 1099s clean.

What we file for you

  • Federal payroll tax deposits and quarterly Form 941, plus the annual Form 940
  • PA state income tax withholding and the year-end reconciliation
  • PA unemployment compensation reports
  • Local earned income tax and Local Services Tax for each work and home location
  • W-2s for employees and 1099-NECs for contractors in January

Already using a payroll app? We can run it for you or move you to one that fits.

Line 3

Business tax returns

from $150/mo

Annual return plus quarterly planning, billed monthly. Return only: from $950 per return.

Your business return, prepared from books we already know, plus a check-in every quarter so April is a formality.

Returns we prepare

  • aS corporations: federal Form 1120-S and PA-20S/PA-65, plus K-1s for each owner
  • bPartnerships and multi-member LLCs: Form 1065 and PA-20S/PA-65
  • cSingle-member LLCs and sole proprietors: Schedule C, filed with your personal return
  • dPhiladelphia work: Business Income and Receipts Tax and Net Profits Tax, if you do jobs in the city

Quarterly planning, in plain terms

Four times a year we look at your year to date, project the full year and tell you what to set aside for federal and PA estimated payments. You get a number and a due date, not a lecture on tax law.

Line 4

Owner pay

$400

A one-time salary study. Included free with business tax monthly.

If you own an S corp, how you pay yourself matters as much as how much. We work out a salary you can defend and a distribution plan around it.

S corp owners who work in the business must pay themselves a reasonable salary, which carries Social Security and Medicare tax. Profit you take beyond that, as distributions, does not. Set the salary too low and you invite IRS questions. Set it too high and you overpay. Here is the shape of the math:

Worked example$120,000 profit, one owner

Taxed as a sole proprietor: self-employment tax on $120,000$16,955

Taxed as an S corp: payroll tax on a $65,000 salary$9,945

Difference, before the S corp’s extra costs$7,010

Illustrative. Self-employment tax figured at 15.3% on 92.35% of profit; payroll tax at 15.3% of salary (employer and employee shares combined). Ignores the income tax deduction for half of self-employment tax, PA and local taxes, and the cost of running payroll and filing a separate return. Your reasonable salary depends on your role, hours and industry.

Line 5

Individual tax

from $350 per return

Federal and PA, coordinated with your business return.

Your personal return, prepared by the same person who did your business return, so the K-1, the estimates and the deductions all line up.

  • Federal Form 1040 and PA-40, with your local earned income tax return
  • K-1 income from your S corp or partnership carried over correctly
  • Estimated payments for next year set before you leave
  • Rental property, stock sales and side income included

Messy personal year because of betting, crypto, trading apps or unfiled years? That has its own flat-price packages under Reset.

What is not on this list

We do not represent clients in audits or IRS collections, and we do not provide legal advice, debt settlement or credit repair. When you need one of those, we refer you to an Enrolled Agent, CPA, attorney or nonprofit credit counselor, and hand them organized records. Book a call if you are not sure which side of the line you are on.
